This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") sets forth how Itemath handles privacy
information as follows.
Article 1 (Privacy Information)
- "Personal Information" among privacy information refers to "personal information" as defined in the
Personal Information Protection Act, which means information about a living individual that can
identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, phone number, contact information,
or other descriptions contained in such information.
- "Usage History and Characteristic Information" among privacy information refers to information other
than the "Personal Information" defined above, including the history of services used, products
purchased, pages and advertisements viewed, search keywords entered by users, dates and times of
use, methods of use, usage environment, postal code, gender, occupation, age, user's IP address,
cookie information, location information, and device identification information.
Article 2 (Collection Method of Privacy
Information)
- Itemath may ask for personal information such as name, email address, and credit card number when
users register. Additionally, Itemath may collect personal information included in transaction
records and payment-related information between users and our partners (including information
providers, advertisers, advertising distributors, hereinafter referred to as "Partners").
- Itemath collects usage history and characteristic information about users, including services and
software used, products purchased, pages and advertisements viewed, search keywords entered, dates
and times of use, methods of use, usage environment (including communication status and various
setting information when accessing through mobile devices), IP address, cookie information, location
information, and device identification information when users use Itemath or Partner services or
view pages.
Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and
Using Personal Information)
Itemath collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:
- (1) To display registration information such as name, address, contact details, payment methods,
services used, products purchased, and related fees to allow users to view and modify their
registration information and usage status
- (2) To use email addresses for notifications and communications with users, and to use contact
information such as names and addresses to send products or contact users when necessary
- (3) To use information such as names and credit card numbers for user identity verification
- (4) To use payment-related information such as purchased product names and quantities, types and
duration of services used, frequency, billing amount, name, address, bank account number, or credit
card number for billing purposes
- (5) To display information registered with Itemath on input screens to facilitate data entry for
users, or to transfer information to other services (including those provided by Partners) based on
user instructions
- (6) To use usage patterns, names, addresses, and other personally identifiable information to deny
service to users who violate Itemath's terms of service by delaying payment or causing damage to
third parties, or who attempt to use services for improper or unfair purposes
- (7) To use information necessary for Itemath to provide services to users, such as inquiry contents,
billing information, service usage status, and contact information, to respond to user inquiries
- (8) Purposes incidental to the above usage purposes
Article 4 (Third-Party Provision of
Personal Information)
- Itemath will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining prior consent from
users, except in the following cases, unless otherwise permitted by the Personal Information
Protection Act or other laws and regulations:
- (1) When required by law
- (2) When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of an individual, and it is
difficult to obtain the consent of the person
- (3) When especially necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of
children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person
- (4) When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, local government, or person
commissioned by them in executing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining
the person's consent may impede the execution of such affairs
- (5) When the following items have been notified or announced in advance:
- That the purpose of use includes provision to third parties
- The items of data to be provided to third parties
- The means or method of provision to third parties
- That provision to third parties will be stopped at the request of the individual
- Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the following cases shall not be considered as third
parties:
- (1) When Itemath outsources all or part of the handling of personal information within the
scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
- (2) When personal information is provided due to business succession through merger or other
reasons
- (3) When personal information is used jointly with specific persons, and the fact of joint
use, items of personal information to be jointly used, scope of joint users, purpose of use
by users, and name or title of the person responsible for managing such personal information
have been notified to the person in advance or are in a state where the person can easily
know
Article 5 (Disclosure of Personal
Information)
- When requested by an individual to disclose their personal information, Itemath will do so without
delay. However, Itemath may choose not to disclose all or part of the information if disclosure
would:
- (1) Risk harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the person or
third parties
- (2) Risk significantly hindering the proper execution of Itemath's business
- (3) Violate other laws and regulations
- Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, information other than personal information, such as usage
history and characteristic information, will not be disclosed in principle.
Article 6 (Correction and Deletion of
Personal Information)
- If users find that their personal information held by Itemath is incorrect, they may request
correction or deletion of such personal information through procedures established by Itemath.
- If Itemath receives such a request from a user and determines that it needs to respond to the
request, Itemath will correct or delete the relevant personal information without delay and notify
the user accordingly.
Article 7 (Retention of Personal
Information)
Itemath will retain users' personal information for the period necessary to achieve the purposes
specified in this Policy. However, this does not apply when required or permitted by law. Similarly,
this does not apply when a longer retention period is required or permitted for legal, tax, regulatory,
or other legitimate purposes.
Article 8 (Suspension of Use of
Personal Information)
When requested by an individual to suspend or delete the use of personal information (hereinafter
referred to as "Use Suspension") on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose
of use or that it was obtained through improper means, Itemath will conduct necessary investigation
without delay and, based on the results, implement Use Suspension of the personal information and notify
the person accordingly. However, if Use Suspension would incur substantial costs or is otherwise
difficult, and alternative measures can be taken to protect the rights and interests of the person, such
alternative measures will be implemented.
Article 9 (Google API Services User
Data Policy)
Itemath uses various user data on Google through Google APIs.
- (1) Types of Data Requested: We obtain Google account information (name, email address, profile
photo) and permissions to read, write, and delete Google Calendar events.
- (2) Reason for Requesting Google User Data:
The name, email address, and profile photo from Google accounts are used during user registration.
Google Calendar permissions are used to display, create, and delete events through Itemath. Event
information from Google Calendar is not stored on Itemath's servers.
Article 10 (Changes to Privacy Policy)
- The contents of this Policy may be changed without notice to users.
- Unless otherwise specified by Itemath, the modified Privacy Policy shall take effect when posted on
this website.
